I grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado and spent about 8 years there. Being from a relatively small town resulted in many nights camping, fishing, daily sports and good times with friends. I have nothing but fond memories from Colorado. Upon graduating high school, I left home to pursue a college degree in Public Relations at Brigham Young University. After a semester of studies, I put my education temporarily on hold to serve a two-year Christian mission in England and South Wales. After completing my mission, I continued my education and dedicated myself to learning the world of entrepreneurship, marketing and branding. As part of this, at the end of 2015 I founded my own accessory brand Sir Wylde.
Launching a business as a college student was difficult at times, but very rewarding. With small resources, I was able to have some success through an effective business model, strategic branding, a good partner and creative marketing. With Sir Wylde I successfully funded a Kickstarter campaign, raised a small round of funding from a private investor, earned media placements in British GQ Magazine and on the NFL Network, saw steady growth since inception and sold the company in 2017. Undoubtably, starting Sir Wylde was one of the best things that I did in my early professional life.
After selling the company, I begun my final semester of college and started making decisions about what I wanted to do once graduating. I had always debated serving in the military and had a strong feeling that I should look further into that option. I went and saw my local United States Marine Corps officer recruiter and decided to apply.
I got accepted to the program and left for Officer Candidates School (OCS) in January of 2018. OCS ended up being an incredible challenge of its own, possibly even more so than starting my own business. Luckily, I survived and commissioned as an officer on March 17th.
After completing OCS, I attended the next phase of training at The Basic School, which was also in Quantico. Here I learned how to be a provisional Infantry Platoon Commander and the military tactics that come with the role. Once completing TBS, I moved to North Carolina to attend a four month logistics training, which I graduated in early 2019. That now brings us to the present day.
I am now living in California and work full-time as a logistics officer in the USMC. In addition to my military duties, I try to stay as involved in creative ventures as possible and love helping others with their own pursuits.
I have a deep love for music, photography, film, branding, travel, people and fitness. I look forward to building a thorough vinyl collection and attending many concerts over the years. Also, I surf, which In enjoy deeply.
